‘For me this is so much more than a beautiful picture. It’s the direction I hope fashion grows,’ she told FEMAIL. ‘Instead of bombarding us with young, emaciated models with little life experience, let’s celebrate women who have lived, given birth, and continue to create and use their minds as well as their talent.’

Calvin Klein’s 1981 ad starring Brooke is one of the most iconic of all time. Her famous ‘You want to know what comes between me and my Calvins?’ line, will probably never be forgotten.

‘We decided to make the shoot really simple and clean. Initially, we talked about photographing her in Calvin Klein jeans. Later, on set, we decided to take the concept further.’

Brooke was shot in crisp white ensembles, body-hugging dresses, blue jeans and a Calvin Klein underwear set.

‘There is true strength and beauty in the act of embracing your age. I think Brooke’s body now at 52 is a healthy body all women can strive for. As women, we should all strive to be healthy and happy. I think beauty should be the byproduct of that journey and not the goal,’ said Devorah.
